Hi all. Just got a sub 2000 40 cal. I did a good lube job on it. My question is, how long does it take for the slide to loosen up some? The last inch or so to lock it back is hard on old fingers.

My 9mm loosened up after about 300 rounds. Make sure the recoil spring is seated into the end of the bolt when you put it back in.
