I travel a lot through the whole state of Iowa and we have Bass Pro , Scheels , Sportsman’s WareHouse and some big independent gun stores. I have seen 3 in person in 18 months in the whole state of Iowa from $379.00 to $499.00. I Have see 2 in stock on line for $499.00.
Now this is not on GunBroker.

He knew I was looking for a new Kel-Tec so he held it behind the counter and asked me if I had been looking for a P17 and I said yeah I'll take it. How much? When he said $199, I already had my credit card out. The funny thing is the Kel-Tec I had been asking about for months was an SU16. But I had already bought a PMR30 and a CMR30 from him.

 

Sportsmans Warehouse has them listed at $169.99, but is out of stock currently. I would keep an eye there when the next batch comes through.

Sure we will. Prices fluctuate, it's the nature of things. When the KSG first hit the market it was impossible to find and the prices were way above MSRP. Eventually they fell down to MSRP and then below. Now they're hard to find and prices reflect that. Same for the RDB.

In time, the price of the P17 will get back to MSRP and maybe even lower. Just got to be patient.

 

The more relevant question is when will we see the P17 in stock in stores?

 

If everyone would just stop buying from gunbroker, etc. for a few months, the prices would plummet. I refuse to spend double, triple or more on a weapon or ammunition.

Sportsman's Warehouse has the P17 in black for $169.99 and tan and green are $219.99. They are usually listed as out of stock on their website but quite often they add stock around 2 AM (ET) I don't know if that's when they update all their inventory or just certain things but I made a script that checked for P17s and had it send me a message when they are in stock. I was able to get a black P17 for $169.99 a few weeks back. They had the tan P17 last night / this morning from 1:55 AM until 2:20 AM (again, Eastern time)

Sportsman's Warehouse did have the tan P17 available to order this past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 1:30 AM EDT. It is still $219.99 (same price for green, black is still $169.99) it only lasted 5-10 minutes each time before it went back out of stock. It often was 2 AM or just before but they did it earlier these past few times...

 

9/23/21 2:15 PM I finally did it. I was on P17 internet notifications for 16 companies.
I just got a notification from green top hunt and fish in Virginia. As soon as I got the notification, I tried to place the order but it said to call.
I called and the last one was being sold.
The lady Michelle was super nice and checked with the guys on the floor and they agreed to sell me the display model.

I guess you really don't need a display model to sell a P17.
My yearlong wait is over.
register for notifications on all legitimate sites and also check manually every morning.

I was very happy to get raped at $250.00! 😂

 

There were 4 P-17s I saw 2 days ago at a large local gun show. 3 were with a large dealer selling them for $349 (black).. One other dealer had one for $269 (also black).

 

Exactly why I don't pay to go to gun shows.

 

And if we do, I'll buy a second one and consider it as dollar cost averaging to make up for the $250 + tax + shipping on my recent purchase. 😕

 

$179.00? No, probably never happen again...I'm not even going to say what I paid for mine...I'm okay with it, though...BUT...I'm kind of glad I waited and didn't jump in right away...reviews were not pretty when they first came to market...

 

I've picked up 1 green (mine) at $214, 3 black at $199 ea for family, and just got a tan at $214 from Midway. This one is going to the wife.

You are correct, but $270 with free shipping is good for this little fireball. If I never knew how much it was in the past and shot it in the present, I would give them my $$$.

 

Midway does the them for $214 FWIW.

 

 

I got my P17 last week for $189 from Rural King Guns (RKGuns). I had put in a request about two months ago and was surprised to get the email saying they were back in stock. When I went to pick up, they said they had been shipped 8 of 'em and all were spoken for. So, they do become available. RK also has free transfers if u pick it up in store. Try Rural King if you have one nearby and you'll probably be able to get one before long.
