There's two problems with the rear sight that cause walking. Be aware that the best way to keep the elevation spring from getting crushed is to remove the plastic rear cover (not for the faint-hearted).
(1) During assembly at the factory, folks fot carried away with thread locker and got some into the windage plunger - causing it to stick retracted. The plunger tensions the sight in its pocket.
(2) The windage adjustment screw will loosen, even though it has thread locker on it. You have to take it completely out, clean it off thoroughly, apply LocTite Blue to both threaded sections and reinstall. You should hold the rear sight to the left when tightening the windage screw so that it pulls to the right.
I have this problem on mine purchased sept 2024.
