I know every gun can be a bit different, just curious as to what people have had success with and what has been an issue.

I am about 1000 rounds into the gun at the moment and here it is for me:

Gun Hates:
AutoMatch - My usual luck. Multiple FTF, FTE
Armscor (nasty wax on them and gums up my gun. Had to use Hoppes Repair spray at the range) Shoots fine in my 22 Rifle though.
Aguila Super Extra - Fired but frequent FTF, Would usually require a second strike

Gun Loves:
CCI Stingers, Mini Mag, SV
Winchester Wild Cats (100 Count Plastic Case)
Winchester Super X (100 Count Plastic Case)
Winchester White Box 36 Grain HP (333 in the box)
Federal 36 grain HP Bulk from Walmart
Blazer 40 gain Round Nose Bulk (1050 case) —- LOVES THEM. Zero issues and $0.04 per bullet.
Browning 38 Grain HP Bulk Pack
Remington Golden Bullet both the 36 Grain HP and 40 Grain Round Nose

I gave mine some goldens and it liked them, I have a few thousand rounds of various bulk I will use up in mostly my other 4 .22's. But I have sworn off all cheap ammo and pledge to buying only CCI for all my .22's and CCI is all I ever used in my PMR30. CCI costs a little more but I think they are worth it.

I saw that, but I feel wearisome doing that to the magazines considering I don’t have other mags I can buy, and I can just get different ammo. I find it SO STRANGE why it doesn’t like the thunderbolts??? I just don’t get it. Wonder what Kel-Tec’s recommendations are.

If I run across a finicky gun in my collection of .22 pistols or rifles... I sell it

I have no time to deal with that... 'Which gun liked which ammo stuff'

Life is too short and there are plenty of .22s just waiting for me to try

Update, mines works better now with Remington Thunderbolts. Not perfect, but here's what really helped

1. Ensure the gun is cleaned then lubricated (sounds obvious, but excitement clouds judgement) out of the box and after every range visit.
2. Ensure bullets are pushed right to the back of the magazine when loading. While I knew this already, I found myself not putting them all the way back if I didn't intentionally focus when loading the mag. Not doing this can cause them to stack improperly.
3. Do not load the bullets forcefully, this apparently gets them out of order and can dent the brass casing causing a snag.
4. After loading 8 bullets, tap the back (where the rim of the bullet is) against your hand or thigh, then every 2 bullets until you load 16.
5. Grip the pistol like you mean it when shooting - the manual really doesn't lie in this regard.
6. Clean your magazines, they do get filthy, no oil needed.

I'm sure I can find better ammo that will work but, I'm just happy Remington Thunderbolt's work okay now.

update: Winchester 36 Grain Hollow Points worked flawlessly - all 250 rounds of them!!!!!

mine ran thunderbolts and cci blazer fine, not as good as some but, perfectly acceptable for a 22lr plinker that cost less then most restaurant meals for my family these days

I try to stick with cci stinger/cci green/aguila super extra and eley mostly- because I like these ammunitions and so do my higher end 22lr handguns and rifles
