Ok,
I picked up two KSG's on Friday, and ran one of them today in a local 3 gun. All I had time to due was to relube it, throw a crappy chinese Eotech clone on it, and sight it in at 7 yards before the match started.
Came to the shotgun run stage(Had to limit slug loadout to 6), 15 rounds of birdshot for plates, total of 21 rounds....
Ran through the slugs no problem, 1st 2 slugs at 50 yards, next two at 30, last two at 15 all from cover. No issue, realized after first shot, the slug was hitting low, adjusted, and ran slugs no problem..
Then stopped for coffee while I rammed 14 rounds into the dual tubes plus 1 in the chamber to complete the last portions of the stage without reload..
Gun ran great, no issues, other than I wasn't counting rounds until I heard the right tube click empty...
So my initial comments and suggestions:
1. Nice design, with size I am familiar with (I run a SBR mp5, the KSG is shorter, LOL) and I am gigantic 6'6
2. Is there anything that can be done about the shells bruising my wrist on ejection. I knwo I have zero seat time with this gun, but I have a nice reminder of what 21 shots rapidly ejecting looks like
3. Who has some engineering background and mill access to design a selector lever that allows us to switch mag tubes without much grip manipulation... I know there has got to be something a little faster.....
All in all, fun day with the new toy...
