I've read alot about not using steel shell and ammo reports on this bullet. I've just started breaking in my P3AT with 380 Auto Sellier & Bellot 92gr FMJ Ammo (200 rounds so far) and 15 of the Gold Dots.

Feed on both is good, still getting some FTEs but just F&Bed the ejector after last practice and haven't been back to do another 50-100 FMJs.

Anyone have problems with the Gold Dots in steel shell? And when should the FTEs stop?

Thanks for that link, it looks exactly like what I have.  I thought mine is a steel casing because it's not stated any where.  In doing a Google search I now believe it to be Nickel-plated brass cases.  So I don't think my FTE is related to the casings but just break in.

I'm pretty sure that CCI/Speer does not make steel-cased ammo, but whenever in doubt, you can always use a magnet to check!
