I have a P11 and was wondering if I put in a Wolff XP 20lbs recoil spring in the P11 instead of the factory 16lbs spring would the Wolff spring make it better to handle +P ammo?

It should, but lightweight guns are easy to limp wrist. If I made the change I would be sure to test it extensively for reliability before relying on it for self defense.

In these short barrel I wouldn't waste my money on +P .More recoil and noise not much improvement . Just get good self defense HP round and be done with it .

Fast , good hits COM count. Not a few more feet per second or a few more lbs of energy

Thanks for the advise Michael, That is what I will keep using, I have all my clips full of Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain Hollow points,and Ill keep it that way.

IIRC Speer makes special short barreled ammo. Higher pressure and larger "mouth" cavity

Couldn't agree with you more. It's up close and personal with this baby, you can get these defense loads in standard pressure that will work just fine and not beat hell out of your 11. critical defense, golden saber, gold dots, and shocks!! All give you 1100 fps or a tad more. That's way more than enough to get the job done up close. I also like the 115 gr. bullets. It makes the gun less bulky.
