I just replaced my KT brake with a Primary Weapons Systems SM556. The threads are not deep enough on the SM556 to bottom out. Being that there is an orientation factor here, I have to use spacers to get the correct allignment and the spacers don't have anything to contact ...So, what I did was to put the nut that comes with the KT brake on first and tighten it down then I could use the spacers provided (from PWS)and get the correct (and tight) orientation that was needed. I did add a drop of blue loctite to the nut. I'm sure this is clear as mud but does anyone see a problem with this set up?

if it is securely attached (not just held on by a couple of threads) and you cannot move it up/down/left/right (from not being on there deep enough) it should be fine.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Everything is tight, I've just never had to mount a comp like this before.
Thanks
