I have an Armalaser (the block kind) for my PF9 but don't have any holsters to fit it. I plan to sell the laser soon, but still want a laser on the pf9.

I've considered crimson trace, as there are a few holsters designed to accommodate this. Laserlyte also makes one that goes on the side, that might not need a custom holster, but looks like the pf9 clip would have to go. (anyone know for sure?)

Laserlyte also makes a rear laser sight that looks intriguing and wouldn't require a custom holster. Any experience with this?

Any other directions I should be looking?

Cheers!

I don't have any personal experience but for a non custom holster the side mounted is probably best but I'm sure the clip would have to be removed. If you can get a holster with a light option that would let you use a small rail mounted laser.

I had the rear sight laser on my PF-9. It was ok, but I found it distracting. and it worked it's way loose and moved around on me. Once I secured it, it stayed accurate until the battery went dead. But it was used on the gun when I bought it. I didn't like turning it on and off. If I get another, I think I prefer the type that comes on when you grip it. And they do make (custom) holsters for that type. So the side mount would be my next choice. And IIRC, members use the metal frame pins that come with the belt clip to use on the laser.
