I'm interested in getting a Gen 2 Sub2k and have one I may buy, but it has the set screw on the front sight base that pushes into the barrel to keep it steady. This is the original older design of the Gen 2 correct? I know there's fixes, mods, aftermarket parts and maybe even a trip back to Kel-Tec for an upgrade, but I'm not interested in any of that when it comes to a brand new gun. I'd rather just buy a Sub2K in it's newest and current form so any insight would be appreciated.

TLDR, is this the older sight with the set screw at the back by the barrel?

ETA: Nevermind, the front sight below is indeed the old sight.

I have a gen 2 Sub2k. If there were a set screw on the back sight I'd have removed the sight entirely. I use a Bushnell scope mounted high enough to clear the front sight, and well above the back. Never fold the rifle. Too hard to get to it quickly in a dangerous situation.
