I have been working on my trigger and have it down to around 5 pounds. I have not bent any springs. I did not hook one side of the trigger spring and polished the sear. I have pics to post as soon as I get to a real pc. I wanted to keep the hammer spring stock so it would work on a su16 also. I may bend the trigger spring alittle to lower the pull some more but it feels good for a semi auto 22. My old stock 10/22 is 6.5 pounds trigger pull. I am not going to be bench shooting with a su. So is 5 pounds good or should I go lower?

How are you measuring it?

Re: What would you like your su trigger pull to be

Two pounds would be nice.

I'm aiming for four pounds when I do mine. Four pounds and smooth would be much better than the stock seven pound trigger, which feels a bit heavy to me, particularly for a lightweight .22 LR. To some degree, the tolerable trigger pull force scales with the firearm weight. Rule of thumb: If you could pick up a firearm by the trigger and not activate the trigger, the trigger pull is too heavy.
