I recently borrowed a trigger pull gauge from a friend to set and test the new Jard single stage trigger in my AR. Since I like lighter than stock triggers and I have tweaked most of my weapons I thought I would check all my guns with it to see what the actual pull weight is. I was very surprised by some if not most. I'll list the ones I checked and was surprised by.
Ruger Security Six .357 t/p 2lbs (I thought it was much much lighter)
Rossi .357 pistol t/p 3lbs (it felt heavier but pretty smooth)
SU-16 after trigger job by me, t/p 4 1/4lbs (long but smooth pull, figured it was lighter)
Marlin mod 60 .22lr t/p 6lbs (feels much lighter and very smooth for a stock trigger)
I'm curious what pull an SU-16 might have after a Bill Springfield trigger job and what are some other pull weights of your favorite guns. Like I said before I like light, short pull triggers, but if they are smooth then they will feel much lighter. Anyone checked theirs?? BTW my precision rig AR is set at 1 1/4 lbs! I love it!
