2 seconds with Google finds that several companies sell a brake made by a company called V6 Muzzle Brake out of Texas and Missouri.

HiTech and SMT seem to be distributors for the brake...BUT they both seem to claim also making the brakes...so I dunno. Looks like they may be made FOR the 2 companies.

Yeah i found several sites too which confused me. I wasn't sure if the "V6" was some style since they all called it the V6.

They're also all about the same price so makes me think everyone is a reseller, unless each of these companies are manufacturing the same part at the same price. :)

Muzzle brakes are not without drawbacks. They can take a gun that is not unpleasant to shoot with ear plugs and make it deafening with them. Shoot the dang thing without ear plugs and the ringing may be with you forever and ever and ever. Not to mention the increased flash and powder coming your way.....hardly desirable characteristics for a defensive shotgun. I weigh 160lb soaking wet and do not find the recoil of the KSG unpleasant or unmanageable. Me I'd rather take it a bit harder on the shoulder than hit my ears with any more pressure than necessary. Bruises heal, hearing loss is forever.
