Hi all, so far I have been very happy with my RFB. With the AAC Blackout Brake recoil is very favorable. It is very short for 18" 308 barrel. Gas setting can be sensitive. Safety lever could be more ergonomics (for me, YMMV).

Now on to accuracy. Shot it once at 100yds and was getting about 6-7" but the ammo was german surplus (which is o/w clean and reliable). I've read that 168gr'ers bullets tend to be more accurate but what are your suggestions on where to start in terms of RFB accurate commercial ammunition?

Federal Gold Medal with the Sierra 168 gr Matchking is a great way to start. Under $25 a box, and decently accurate & consistent for factory loads.

i ran Prvi PPU 168gr. match about $15 a box. Getting 1 MOA. Read that the Federal gold match can get you sub MOA. Accuracy has alot to do with the shooter.

I load with 165 grain bullets, and can do an MOA or better.....that is usually depending on me.

Mine likes 150 gr soft point Federal from Walmart. I shot 1" groups with 2-7x scope. Heavier bullets (165 gr, or 168 gr match) gouped not as well as lighter ones.
