As the title states.... what ammo does your RDB like best from a shot patterning perspective? i.e. accuracy I suppose, whether it be 25, 50, or any yardage for that matter. Prove it if youd like with your grouping.

Mine groups best with the lighter match rounds. Black Hills 52g match is the best factory load in mine. My handloads, 50g Noslers are the best.

My RDB has no choice, it likes the cheapest Ammo I can find that is brass cased. Wolf Gold is usually the round I use and it groups 2-3 MOA when I do my part. Minute of man is good enough for me.

I think mine does better with 62gr 5.56 but i have only shot at 50 yards so far.
Plus the extra oomph helps keep things moving

PMP 5.56 will run great until the gun gets warm. then it will fail every round. not only that, the double feeds will mangle the bullet, so half your ammo will be lost.

That's what Im afraid of. I have been wondering if this is happening to many folks. Except the "early" production magic guns that run thousands of rounds without fail.
I didn't get one of those.

What is this PMP 5.56 ammo you gents speak of? South African.... is there any reason why yall mention that specific ammo....is it cheap, accurate, or none of the above?

it was not cheap, about 0.30$ / round. not expensive but not the cheapest with wolf/tula at 0.20$/round. i failed to tighten the scope and cannot accurately(heh) comment on the accuracy. i ordered this because i thought it was slightly higher quality and had good reviews - a lot of the popular sales site said it was accurate for the price and fed reliably.

to be fair, my friend's 5000$ cobalt kinetic match AR did eat this stuff accurately and consistently.

The reason the Cobalt ran it is because it has a low mass operating system in it. PMP is pretty low quality ammo for ARs.

I get in the high 2 to low 3 MOA from my RDB. It runs 100%, about 5K on it.

Yea, id slaughter some hog with a black rifle, but i wouldn't take game like that. Not that you can't, but the respect isn't there. IMHO. But hogs don't deserve any respect.
