It seems most folks feel FMJ is the only way to go with the 380 for SD.

I only use FMJ for cheap target work and haven't done any research on that type of ammo, and there doesn't seem to be a lot out of info there anyway.

Does that mean all FMJ is pretty much the same and you might as well go with the cheapest that works in your gun?

I think that is a mis-statement.

I don't think "most folks" think FMJ is the "only way to go".

I think a few very vocal folks on this board feel that way.

But I think the vast majority of noted firearms experts feel JHP is better for SD, even in the .380.

And that is what they would carry, if they would carry a .380 for SD at all.
