BE WARNED! USING AMMO IN YOUR P3AT MAY CAUSE FTF'S FTE'S AND CAUSE YOUR GUN NOT TO FIRE.

THIS MAY BE DUE TO HARD PRIMERS, LACK OF POWDER CHARGE, SEATING THE BULLET IMPROPERLY, OR JUST THE FACT THAT YOUR GUN HATES YOU.

IF YOU TRUST YOUR LIFE TO AMMO YOU WILL MOST CERTAINLY DIE.

THAT IS ALL. THIS IS A PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING.

I'm a BIG fan of my PF-9 but i have been trying to talk the wife into getting something smaller/lighter than her Ruger SP101.
(mostly) because i have caught her a few times leaving it at home because of the size/weight issue.

She agreed to looking a pocket pistol but favors the new ruger iI'm trying to talk her into a tried and tested Kel-Tec P3AT.

I'm not fond of rugers warranty (or lack of) and had nothing but good things to say about the good people at K.T.

I was kinda shocked to come to the P3AT forum and find a Forum Moderator's sticky/important post reading
"WARNING! DO NOT USE AMMO IN YOUR P3AT!

Meaning????
Do not use a kel-tec's .380 because of light primer strikes and FTF's and FTE's.
I wasn't aware they were having "issues" with the P3AT's

Thanks for the warning about those issues! and glad i trust the Admin & Mods here at KTOG and checked here first.

I'll stick with my PF-9 & PLR. but i'll look else where's for a left hand friendly .380 (that leaves out bersa/walther and most others :( )

I just threw all my .380 ammo in my fire pit, apparently fire is better than the p3at. I had no FTF or FTE, 500 rnds in 3 minuets, my dog is still on the run.  I think my neighbors all took off to look for my dog, they sure are good neighbors.

Too late. I've already used several hundred rounds of different ammo in mine over the last year and a half. So far, so good.

If you have one that you don't want anymore, I'll be glad to take it off your hands.  ;)

I have to admit that I got a good chuckle out of this.

You could always use your P3AT as an alternative to brass knuckles.

Re: WARNING!  DO NOT USE AMMO IN YOUR P3AT!

it is too light, you need to trade it for a bigger, heavier gun.

20. Re: WARNING!  DO NOT USE AMMO IN YOUR P3AT!

Of course it is to light!

Every one knows that for the brass knuckle / gun conversion plan a .380 is under powered. You need AT LEAST .357 Mag. for adequate knock down power.
