Was I wrong in thinking my P32 holsters would work with my P3AT?

    1st Gen P32, 2nd Gen P3AT

    Holsters:
    Uncle Mike's size 1
    JS Holster (http://armory.jsholsters.com/shop/imageview.asp?file=leather.pocket.jpg)
IWB home made kydex bought at gunshow

P3AT won't go into the kydex. The UM is too tight on the trigger guard to come out easily. The JS won't go all the way in.

Is it just a matter of forcing and resizing or do I need to get all new holsters?

A 2nd gen P-3AT will not only be slightly larger in all dimensions than a 1st gen P-32, but the slide profile/contour is also different, both in the front forward of the chamber (generation doesn't matter), and in the rear at the extractor (because of the different generations). A well-fitted holster like hand-boned leather or Kydex will probably not work, but loose ones like cloth likely will.

I use a Mikes #1 for my P3AT for a pocket holster. It works fine.

    +1 with Bo_Bryant.

However, I did read, while perusing the holster web sites, of how the Kydex can be "refitted" using a hair dryer. May be a solution for the minor "adjustment" needed. Just a thought.
