It is a double action only (DAO) pistol, and part of that design includes the longer trigger pull vs single action (SA) guns that have shorter trigger pulls. The longer pull of a DAO gun is part of the design and is the only "safety" on the gun. The trigger pull is longer because pulling the trigger essentially cocks and fires the gun, thus the term "double action." There is no length-of-pull adjustment built in to the design.

If you are accustomed to SA guns, it takes some practice to "master" a DOA pistol. Having said that, the 6 pound trigger on a P3AT is less than just about any DA revolver and many if not most DAO semi-autos. It is a simple, safe, and effective design. Simply point and pull the trigger. No buttons, levers, safeties, etc, and nothing is easier to conceal. Just put some rounds down range and get accustomed to the system. And for $58, you stole it! :)

You can pretty much lay the blueprints for the LCP on top of the P3AT. When it first came out, we called the LCP the Little Copied Pistol. :)
