I own a second generation p3at. So firing my p3at I felt I had to pull the trigger really far before it actually fired. This might be done because the gun doesn't include a safety but it's kind of annoying vs other guns I own. What controls this and is there a way to change the breaking point?? I would like to adjust the breaking point slightly if possible and am not sure how to go about this ( trigger, springs, etc). It feels like it almost touches the grip before it breaks. Go easy on me with jargon/acronyms as I'm a newbie. Thanks for any feedback let me know if I need to give more info on my firearm...

It is a double action only (DAO) pistol, and part of that design includes the longer trigger pull vs single action (SA) guns that have shorter trigger pulls. The longer pull of a DAO gun is part of the design and is the only "safety" on the gun. The trigger pull is longer because pulling the trigger essentially cocks and fires the gun, thus the term "double action." There is no length-of-pull adjustment built in to the design.

Thanks for the explanation. It just throws me off a bit when shooting it vs my other guns. I paid 58$ for it and it's a great concealed carry for work as I sweat and work with metal so it's prone to rust and for 58$ I could care less if it oxidizes a bit between cleanings.

If you are accustomed to SA guns, it takes some practice to "master" a DOA pistol. Having said that, the 6 pound trigger on a P3AT is less than just about any DA revolver and many if not most DAO semi-autos. It is a simple, safe, and effective design. Simply point and pull the trigger. No buttons, levers, safeties, etc, and nothing is easier to conceal. Just put some rounds down range and get accustomed to the system. And for $58, you stole it! :)

Its not much different from the lcp 1 custom I have. I bought that new and don't want it to oxidize at work so I only carry that when dress calls for something small. But my main carry is a walther ppk/2

You can pretty much lay the blueprints for the LCP on top of the P3AT. When it first came out, we called the LCP the Little Copied Pistol. :)
