Drawn for first quota turkey hunt yesterday & today. Mostly, I am good for spooking game, so.... Yesterday. one tom, 10' in air, bat out of heck. Heard two others, and also a deer sneeze / chuff (behind my tree). Today, a bit better.. 5 toms, single file, out of gun range, a pack of tree-rats, two huge deer, and a big bobcat. Photo kinda sux (200 yard pix after I fished camera out), so is on evil social networking page (FB), not here. Guides are not supposed to shoot anything....right ? B.
Yesterday, two deer beside the entrance to the 'hood, and today, walked up on one in the woods across from the house. I really need to take up archery hunting (whats a good value in a cross-bow ?). B.
todays score, on a new plot of land... - ~ 30 turkey, many tree rodents, 3 *new* tree stands & a game camera (someone must be seeing deer....), also turds....raccoon and other unidentifiable (but enormous...2"x6"..non-human, non-pellet..more plop like ala cow...) scat <really need to carry the camera>. B.
