On the one hand, anything that normalizes firearms and removes the 'taboo' for owning them among the younger generations is probably a good thing. The fact that this seems to be a 'thing' for both men and women is also probably a good thing. On the other hand, the idea of a firearm as a fashion statement/accessory for people who may or may not know anything about how to be responsible with a firearm probably is not. I doubt that anyone who has gold plating on their AK47 is taking it to the range or other, safe area to practice firing it all that often.

Makes me think of the whole 'lumbersexual' thing. These guys might be able to grow a beard and buy (probably designer) flannel shirts and work boots but most of them probably wouldn't know which end of an axe to swing. Maybe it will become a trend for them to post up pictures of their targets to prove they actually know how to use those shootin' irons.
