Duno how many of you have vepr 12's but after 2 1/2 years the first batch of 25 round drums went out to distributors.

the only one with them in stock at the moment is Classic Firearms. CCS sold out in 30 minutes. Centerfire systems should be listing the ones they got soon alhtough they have last I saw 800 on back order :) so if they honor the back order I doubt they will list any for sale :)

There are 3 or 4 other distributors you can find on SGM's facebook page.,

Been watching for these ever since I got my Vepr-12. Thanks. Ordered one, just because, and a 50-round .40 cal Glock drum, too, to make the shipping an even better deal.:) I like Classic Firearms, that's where I got my Vepr last year. Too bad the 9 mm Glock drums were sold out.

These drums seem to be pretty large, but I guess that goes with the territory. I like the 12 round ProMag drums for the Saiga-12. Nice balance between size and capacity. A 12-round 12 gauge box mag sticks out a LOT! Maybe SGM or ProMag will come out with this size drum for the Vepr-12 too.

Glad to have helped

I would assume if sales are good they will work on different sizes. As flimsy as the youtube vids looks I dont think the drum is very heavy. Now a box of shells in it may be :)

WOOT! Just got shipping notice that my SGM drum will arrive from Centerfire Systems by July 28 via FedEx. My original order was on March 22, 2014 and now I have an actual tracking number for an SGM VEPR-12 25-round drum. IS THIS FOR REAL??? :) :) :)

Well CenterFiresystems just hit my CC looks like my 2/26/2014 order was filled.
Hey, you're also on the Saiga/VEPR forum. Nice to see you in both places.

I don't actually have a VEPR, but I plan to convert the VEPR drum for use in my Legion-converted Saiga-12 with magwell. I have a few original VEPR Molot 5-round mags that I use for my Saiga that I bought when they were available cheap--for like $17 each, LOL. Oh that I had gotten more when I could.

Ya tell me about the no longer cheep mags :) lol.

I seem to gravitate to unusual/different types of guns that not every one has. The vepr.org has a lot more traffic than the saiga/vepr forum.

Yeah, not much going on at the Saiga/VEPR forum. I want a VEPR, but since I don't have one yet, I'm not sure VEPR.org is useful for me. My Saiga-12 seems reliable without adjustment with any load I put into it, including cheap Wal-Mart Federal bulk pack shot, cheap low-brass buck shot, and nicer high-brass buck shot. I haven't tried slugs. That's supposedly one of the benefits of the VEPR over the Saiga, but mine does quite well.

Well the drum hit my door late friday night and I did not find it till the morning.

First impression its not as big as I thought don't take it the wrong way its BIG :)

LRBHO does not function on my gun I emailed customer support and am awaiting a response auto mail said they were gone till the 1st but would try and answer in the evenings

If you have one of the original side folding stocks at least on my gun you cant put the drum in the mag well with the stock folded to the side it holds it out at least 1/2"

Whoa, how the freak did you get it so soon?! I ordered my 2.5-year-old backordered drum from Centerfire, and also snagged one from Classic Firearms, just because I was paranoid that I wouldn't get in the first batch of Centerfire, and I think they're both scheduled for a Friday delivery. You must be close to the sellers. I'm in the west.

my order from Centerfire was also from 2 1/2 years ago . I called them and let them know I still wanted it when I saw SGM was shipping them. I never got a shipping notice it just showed up I did notice a charge to my CC. early this year I got a call from Centerfire asking if I was still interested in the drum as they were told they were getting some so I re did my info and the guy said there was only 1 other person in front of me so I would be getting one.

At the time I re did my info they gave me a new order number but the paperwork shows the old #.

Yeah, that sounds like my story. I originally ordered on March 22, 2014. I got the call from Centerfire in January asking if I still wanted the drum. I updated my credit card info, because it had expired. I heard about what was going on with the final release, so I called them again last Monday, because my card info had changed again. So I refreshed the order and then got an email with the tracking info, which shows a delivery date of July 29, or Friday.

I did not seem to get a new order number. When I log in, there is no new order, but my old one is still there. Oh well. I'm getting one, so I'm happy. :)

So here we go! I got one of my VEPR drums converted for my Saiga-12 and works great--at least it loads when hand cycling. It took a little longer than I thought, but it locks in tight. I went slowly to remove only as much material as I had to so it would work. I hand-cycled 15 rounds and it worked great with no misfeeds. Sometimes the bolt-hold-open feature works and sometimes not. I'll see if I can fine-tune that, but honestly, I'm not worried about that, since it wasn't designed for my Saiga.

But anyway, I'm very happy with my VEPR drums for my Saiga-12!
