I sent an email to my contact at MI and he sent me the new optic mount to test.

I was supposed to arrive last Thursday but was delayed and didn't arrive until the next day. I would have liked to had it installed for the steel practice shoot.

Installed it but didnt have time to zero it before testing it at a local USPSA match.

Here is the video from the match.

Well yesterday I went to the range to zero the red dot. I noticed my groups were all over the place. So then I noticed that the mount was loose. Not sure if I didn't tighten it all the way or if it vibrated loose. Gonna have to watch it more closely to see if it continues to do it.

Here is a video of me testing the gun after zeroing.

Mine is performing flawlessly. I installed it, zero'd at the range, folded it up and carried it in the truck for a couple days. Went back to the range unfolded and still held zero. Working great. It's nice to Shoot without holding the gun at a 45° angle.

The only thing that makes me nervous is that you have to have the charging handle pulled back and locked (and secured with a string) to fold the gun.
A rubberized charging handle that can rest against the optic may be a good thing...

Mine is still in the box unopened, so all I know about it is what you guys post & the video.

I'm bummed that I spent so much on my current S2K set-up to get this mount + MI or holosun RDS. This would have been a ton easier, more compact, and definitely a lot lighter.
With the exception of a new aluminum trigger (MUST have IMO) I've kept it stock to save money.

I purchased a KSG (stock with the exception of Magpul flip sights) a few months before the sub 2000, so I don't have any cash to spend on pimping either one up right now.

Good news is that the better I get with the gun in stock condition, the better I'll be when I decide on accessories. At least that's what I tell myself...

The Midwest industries webpage saws that this mount will not work with "the Bushnell red dot". I assume the mean the TRS-25. Can anyone confirm this to be the case? I have the mount on order as well as the TRS-25 and will be bummed if they don't work well together. What red dots are other people using?

Mine came today and will install on my S2K 40SW GEN2 this week-end, can't wait! I got the mount + the optic.
Show us pictures when you get it set up!

Will everything fold up right, with this sight and mount, if you have a Tacticool bolt cover installed or does that small change hinder it? The reason I like using the Tacticool Bolt Cover (better/easier cheek weld, while using stock sights) may not be needed with the red dot set up.

Well I just spent an extremely frustrating hour trying to get this mount and red dot on my new S2K and I gave up for now! The mount appears well made and I like the red dot for sure but the 11 step instructions are not clear and no pictures or diagrams are included! I had trouble getting the mount tight in the M locks and then mounting the red dot to the mount itself is a trick and this step should have been done at the factory!!!! The mounting screws are the size of a gnats butt and very difficult and I gave up! I may take a riser and just mount the red dot on top and when folding take it as far as it will go as it will still fit in my backpack partially closed. I have found several videos on YouTube showing the use of the mount and dot after install but no install video. Oh well, live and learn!

I don't give up easy! I turned this into a 2 beer project and chucked the instructions. I mounted the red dot to the mount then mounted on the S2K.
You have to take the existing mount off the red dot then mount to the new mount, the holes align perfectly and the screws are the same. For whatever reason the M Locks didn't fight me this time and it went on perfectly! Conclusion - this set-up rocks! I will try to post pictures later!
