Added a few goodies to my S2K today.
It all started with looking to ditch the red dot setup and add an alternative front post for my front sight and then it all snowballed from there.
I removed the aluminum M-Lok Picatinny rails on both sides, as well as the red dot on 1 o'clock mount.
After shooting with the new front sight post, I am more than happy with the standard sight setup and its accuracy.

Upgrades added:

- KNS Crosshair Hooded Duplex Front Sight Post
- Performance Services Wicked Trigger
- Performance Services Butt Stock Quick Detach Sling Mount
- M-Carbo Aluminum Trigger Guard
- M-Carbo Trigger Spring Kit
- M-Carbo Single Point Sling Mount
- M-Carbo Screw Upgrade Kit
- Hogue Grip
- Magpul M-Lok Covers
- Sections of WedgeLok M-Lok covers

Before:

After:

Upgrade Parts (minus front sight post, grip, buttstock sling-mount):

Trigger, Trigger Guard, Hogue Grip, Slingmount

Closeup - Trigger, Trigger Guard

Buttstock Quick Release Sling Mount (mounts are on both sides of buttstock)

M-LOK and Rail Covers

Crosshair Front Sight Post

In the Glock Box

I'm loving this rifle!

Very nice.

How do you like the crosshair front sight post? Any feedback (pro's or con's) from the range?
Honestly, I really don't have anything negative to say. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked and how easy it was for my eyes to pick up. Also the thick outer ring really helped center it within the rear aperture sight as well.

How do you like the wicked trigger? And did you just use the Hogue grip that was made for the glock 17 (assuming that is a glock 17 S2K) and did it fit well or require trimming?
The trigger is a night and day difference from the gritty and pointy plastic trigger. The break on the trigger just feels better too.

I used this Hogue grip from Amazon and yes, trimmed it to fit down to the Glock 19 sized grip as well as the cutouts for the magwell.

I'm looking into the front post as this would be amazing with a green laser on the sub. Which one did you go with, they have a few different ones...can you share a link? Also, stupid question. But will all replacement front posts for ar15 style fit? I'm not sure if the thread diameter is all the same.

Why do you want a laser? I've never found them particularly effective other than training people to not flinch.

Yes, all AR front sight posts will fit.
Why do I need a sub2000? Lol personal preference I guess. You can't tell me they're not slightly intimidating when a bad guy can see exactly where the bullet would go. And above all, they're fun on small weapons with low recoil :)

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1323188238/kns-front-sight-post-ar-15-hooded-reticle-matte I don't know if that's the one he got but it's an option.

A downside is that you have to turn it a full 180 degrees for it to work right so it can't be adjusted as finely. Not as bad as tritium sights that you have to turn 360 though.
I could be wrong with this one, but most of these that I have seen - as well as tritium sights - are setup so you use the same tool for adjusting your standard front sight for elevation. Then you rotate the upper "post" or ring to get the crosshair or tritium insert to face the shooter.

And if you don't want a laser don't use one. I don't question people's using tools on their own weapons that I may not particularly like myself. BECAUSE it's not my weapon. Tastes, needs, wants, and requirements vary by owner. It's like asking someone why they chose red for the color of their car. It's none of my business.

Yes, you probably use the same tool to adjust it as any AR front sight. But in order for it to line up so that you can shoot, you need to turn it 1/2 turn vs the 1/4 for normal posts. If it's sideways that doesn't work. And the tritium sights I have only provide light in one direction, so you need to turn it a full turn (or half a turn if you don't care about the tritium part).

I understand what you are saying. It just seemed to me most of the "aligned" style sights have that upper part as a rotatable piece, so once you get your elevation set you just need to rotate that upper piece to orient it to your eye without moving your adjustment. But I may be thinking of the more expensive offerings.

Your thinking of the meprolight version
