I have a Sub 2000 in 9mm and have tried a heat gun, torch, in a padded vice and cannot remove the threaded cap protector.
Has any member had this problem removing this cap.

I've read some had a hard time.

Hint: for future reference, use an O-ring when you reinstall thread protector. This keeps it from coming loose, and makes for easy removal next time.

I have read this also but, havent found the need yet to remove the ones from my two.
