    Well, it's back! :D
    Date received by KT: 11/6
    Repair done: 12/16
    Received back: 12/21

    What they did:
Reamed chamber to correct size, replaced faulty receiver
    • Replaced the frame, utilizing the original serial #
    • Polished feed ramp
    • Chamber serviced
    • Test fired

I really can't tell what they did. The feed ramp does look a little cleaner, and it looks fired. They did put in a new buffer, it's now one piece instead of the tinkertoy assembly it used to be. The rear sight it back in the factory position.

I sure would like to know a few things: how many shots did they fire? What ammo did they use? were there any misfires or feed failures? Did they sight it in at all?

I won't be able to shoot this thing for some time, due to my favorite range shutting down for the winter. I can't wait...

Any chance you can post a picture of the new one-piece buffer? Is it a fairly hard plastic, or more resilient?

Sure, I'll post a pic. It's whiter (the older one was yellow-ish) and one-piece instead of 4 pieces interlocked together. It's softer, a bit more "rubbery."

Thank you for the pictures of the new buffer. A picture truly is worth a thousand words. It looks like essentially the same buffer, but molded in one piece instead of four. Cool.
