Hey all, I would like to mount a light to the handguard on my bravo model. I know I can drill and mount a rail segment, but the handguard is angled slightly inward. So my question is, does this slight angle make much of a difference in where the beam shines? If it does, is there a way to put a stand-off under the rail to better align it with the barrel? If you have pictures of lights mounted to your su-16, please post them. Thanks

I'd be surprised if the angle was enough to really notice given that flashlight beams are generally fairly wide.

If you decide it is enough to notice and it bugs you, I'd put some washers between the handguard and the front of the rail section to level it out.

What models of rail, ring and light did you use?

Love the look of that setup.
The rail is a Magpul MOE polymer rail section. Nice and cheap, I think it was like $10-$15 from Amazon.com, the ring is a cheap low profile scope ring by NCStar, which for 2 was $13CAD (the other one is mounted on my CZ858) and the flashlight is a Pelican flashlight that takes CR123's.
