Well I went ahead and screwed around with the soldering iron.
Would have done some things different, but it's ok
Looks pretty good, a leopard spotted p3at. Looks like you smoothed over the "checkering" first?
I'm not a big fan of the cheesy looking molded checkering. I like the pf9 better , but a simple textured surface would have been fine.... kinda like what you did.
I'm not a fan of most stippled KT's but yours looks real nice. Good job [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Can you buy a new plastic frame from kel tec, and does anyone know how much? Thanks guys, I like it but it could be refined more.
You can order a new grip from KT. I don't recall how much they cost.
It would probably be a good idea to get one with the hammer block already installed, unless you have some practice putting that in.
With the internal parts installed (worth it), I think they are close to $30+ shipping.
I sort of have an idea. If possible, try to see if they still have the white grips available. Then smooth over the checkering. Next using orange RIT dye, color the grip. Then proceed stipple the grip the same way you did this one. I think it would look awesome.
It's growing on me. I kinda of rushed it. Next one I'm going sand better and completely strip down. It does have good friction
I dunno... it is kind of like when Dodge overhauled the way their trucks looked. One day I liked them... then next day not so much. :-?
But this gun.....I kinda turns me on in a strange sort of way..... :-[
Are you kidding?
He's right.. Really..
There's something kind of hot about that finish, and I know what it is-
The gun looks the way a girl does when she's wearing fishnet stockings!
