I took my son (13 years old) to his first IDPA shoot this weekend and let him use the PMR30. He has shot trap for quite a while but is new to pistols. He did VERY well. He placed 17th out of 33 in his division (SSP) and 29th out of 54 overall and his first time!
On a side note: The places around us that do IPDA typically let people that use a .22 go on steel targets as long as they hear it because .22 normally won't knock the bigger steel targets over. The PMR30 22 mag didn't knock them all over but it did knock over the majority. People also commented how "loud" his gun was
