At this time I'm only willing to do a face to face transaction in the N. Phoenix, AZ. area. Can email pics later tonight upon request.

DUE TO SELLER OBSTINANCE THIS ITEM HAS BEEN EDITTED BY SWAMPTHING

Nice Price!!
How old is it and what's the approximate round count?
Is the MecGar stock number for the mags MGPB9615AFC? (just curious)
Thanks!

About 2.5 years old, roughly 800 rounds. I don't see a stock number on the mags.

Don't forget to remind somebody to post an "I'll take it".   ;)

And to change your thread title to indicate the status.

To whom?

No one posted, "I'll take it" in the thread, nor was the thread title changed.  Both are required by the extremely well publicized http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1232205161]Trading Post Rules, and a moderator's reminder/warning has gone ignored.

Boy howdy do I know about the rules.  ::)

However, I sold it outside of this forum. The rules state nothing about this, including (but not limited to), the ability to sell otuside of the forum, a requirement to post info regarding the outside buyers info to this forum, the outside buyer needing to join this forum to say "I bought it", etc.  ;D

So now what, do the buyer and the seller get spanked with a zero post count and an asterisk next to them marking them as illiterate?
Public shame used to be a great deterrent in times gone by. Just sayin'...

WRONG....guess you didn't read them that close.

Procedures:

1.  Consolidate multiple items into one thread only.
All merchandise posted for sale must have a listed price.  On occasion, we allow a silent auction, but they must be pre-approved and follow a specific format.  If you are listing your item locally or elsewhere, state that in your thread so that readers may take that into consideration.

Not so much, apparently.

Had you read and followed the rules, you would have done the following, and thus avoided the resulting confusion and wasted time and energy.

1.  Mention the off-site listing, ie, this is also listed on other forums, available locally, etc.  You see this in many other threads, where it applies.
2.  When it sold elsewhere, simply post that in your thread.
3.  Mark the title as SOLD (which you have still not done).

Our rules are well thought out, based on years of experience, and what we have seen used on other forums.  They cover most contingencies.  The only problem is getting members to read and follow them.  Otherwise, they work very well and are intended to lessen the need for moderators to intervene in the buying/selling process.

BUSTED!!!

Yes, I did in fact overlook that line. I've always appreciated this forum, but apparently I'm unable to memorize/ retain the rules, and thereby do sales here right/ correctly.

As such, in the future I will take advantage of this part of the rules, thereby avoiding stuff like this:

If you do not agree with these rules, feel free to not participate in the Trading Post activities.

Peace.

Fair enough.

Perhaps I should reword that particular line to read...

If you do not agree with these rules, or are "unable to memorize/retain the rules," feel free to not participate in the Trading Post activities.  :)

I thought this reply was going to be a "man-up, set it straight" type, until I got to the last line.

Maybe it's because I have 3 older brothers and we don't let things slide. If one of us messes up, we get called out, we either put up or shut up, take our lumps, and move on. How hard is this?

We get this a lot AFTER the deal is done and the money is pocketed.....   ::) :p

As JB has pointed out, generally if you just own up and admit to making a mistake we let it slide somewhat.  Lack of repentence on the other hand.......

:-X

And I see you still haven't fixed the title or the original post. :-?

P.S.

Yes, I've made some mistakes here regarding sticking to forum rules. I have no problem admitting it.

Re: SOLD

Nope.  Still not right.  You are not supposed to remove the entire title and replace it with only the word SOLD.

5.  When a deal has been made, the original poster must edit his first post and put "SOLD" or SPF (sold pending funds) at the beginning of the title of that post.
The title should remain for future reference.  Yours should read:  SOLD - Sub 2000 for sale (local to N. Phoenix only).

A quick glance at page 1 of the forum shows numerous examples, such as:

SOLD Rolls of Roosevelt Dimes For Sale 1946 1947
SOLD: P11 12 round mag NIP $25 shipped
SOLD - PF9s and accessories for sale
traded    wtt p32/p3at left hand beltcl
Sold HiPoint 995 Carbine front sight (for SUB2000)
Sold KelTec SUB2000 in 40S&W Glock mags $300 NC
spf PF9 + 2 mags and Howa 1500 .308

This just can't be that hard.   :-/
