Unshot & new PF9 slide resting forward of frame. Photos attached. Had gunshop check and clean the piece, no change. Is this functional or cosmetic?

Perfectly normal. They pretty much all look like that. Doesn't hurt a thing.

BTW...the factory calls that part the grip. The frame is inside of the grip and is aluminum.

I never noticed But yes mine that way . Over 1000 trouble free rounds so must be fine.
