I disassembled my pf9 for the first time. By disassemble, I mean I took the slide off and removed the barrel and recoil spring. When I tried to reassemble I was able to get the hole aligned and all but there is a spring from the below the slide area that is preventing the slide pin to go completely in. It is coming on the left side of the pistol. I hope the picture explains.

that is the spring that holds the pin in place , depress it a little and put the pin in make sure the spring snaps back in the pin

That spring leg sits in a slot on underside of the assembly pin and retains the assembly pin.

Get barrel and slide situated, and press assembly pin in hard (with finger pressure) and you'll hear a snap as the pin deflects and pops into the retention slot. Easier to do with pistol laying flat on a tabletop.

just rotate your assembly pin 180 degrees and it will go in with a snap.
the wide side goes up, with the narrow side pointing down.

It looks like someone put the frame in with that spring upside down. You shouldn't be able to see the end of it.
