Boxing up my RFB to go back to Kel Tec for the second time, same problem. Note: Shooting without a suppressor. With the original gas piston & the gas adjuster screwed all the way out (or removed), Winchester Super-X 150 grain slams the bolt into the top cover weldment & bends it. (& locks back). Their technical support said to order the suppressed gas piston & it would work. Nope, with the adjuster screwed all the way down the bolt won't go back far enough to pick up the next round let alone lock. You could say I'm not too happy with a rifle that can't shoot factory ammo without self-destruction.

I bought a suppressor piston and its shaft was too large to fit so I carefully reduced the shaft diameter and at 0.003" off it is a tight fit. Traveling a lot and no chance to test it. I will post the results once I have a chance to test it. The whole gas adjustment fitting is a major weaknesses in an otherwise great gun. It needs a ground up redesign

I did read that, wasn't much help. With the gas adjuster all the way out (or removed) factory Winchester 150 it beating the crap out of the rifle. With Federal white box ball ammo I can adjust the gas, but ball won't work so well on the hogs. I need it to work with the Winchester, I have a fair bit on hand.

The suppressed gas piston bleeds off too much gas making it a single shot rifle even with the adjuster screwed all the way down. Again, this is with no suppressor.

I can mix both types of ammo in my M1A & SCAR 17S with no cycling issues.
