I gave up 2 weeks ago on my daily phonecalls to the different stores I search for ammo at...I have not found any .380 for months.  Then I was out and about and figured I would call up Dicks Sporting goods for the heck of it.  I asked the guy if he had any .380 and he checks and comes back to the phone and says "Ya.....actually we do".  He sounded shocked that he was actually able to say he had some.  And luckily it was the 250rd Rem value pack.  I flew over and picked up one box for me and one for my boss.  They had 4 on the shelf.  Now I can shoot my new P3AT with no worrys of running out of ammo anytime soon....what a relief!

If people would stop buying so much dang 9mm the factories could switch their tools over to .380 for awhile.
    Good find.

I think it's getting better in my area, I have found 380 fmj and DPX at two LGS's over the past few weeks. Hopefully most of the "hoarders" have spent their life savings on ammo so the rest of up can find some. ;D

+1 on that Their gonna be mad when this ammo shortage is over and the prices go down. Blazer .380 was $25/50 last month and $29.99/50 this week!

Lately I have seen some 380 ammo in the LGS here also. I still have about 400 store bought, and I am still reloading for my range shooting, but I think its getting better.

I was in a LGS a couple of weeks ago buying 9mm gold dots and a guy came in and bought the only box of .380 they had, gold dots.  I assume that one box of .380 GD was priced reasonably as the 9mm GD I bought that day was priced about typical - just over $1/round.
Another store only had Atlanta Arms and were getting $28/50.  I thought it was a bit much for dirty fmj.

What did you pay for 250 rounds?

I talked to an employee at ATK (CCI/Speer) today. They have .380 at the company store (employees only) for less than $10.00 a box.

Fortunately I still have 4 boxes left of Blazer Brass from a purchase I made last November. There is nothing on the shelves locally in .380 though.

It was 89.99 for the 250ct value pack. I have also been able to get Cor-bon DPX's at a local Scheels Sporting goods store. But they are 25.00 for 20.

My LGS blames the 380 ammo shortage on foreign nations who do not allow "military ammo" (like 9mm). More BS from a LGS? Maybe, but something unusual has reduced the supply of this particular caliber.

No luck on .380 here in Central FL. LGS and Wal-Mart laugh when you ask for it. I've had a box of Cor Bon .380 +P back-ordered at Impact Guns for 5 weeks now. There's a gun show here next weekend, so I'm going ammo hunting again. At the last gun show, there was plenty of .380 FMJ (in box and in bags), but no JHP at all in the entire building. I'd love to find a box of Cor Bon DPX too. I've managed to collect 100 rds of FMJ so I can go to the range in the next week or two. It has been "fires of hell" hot around here, so I'm dreading the range (unless I decide to try an inside range somewhere). I'd love to have my "carry ammo" when I go to the range so I can test it.

    Wow. I just spent 8.47 a box of 50 Federal .380 FMJ. I don't even own a 9 but my buddies do.

Yeah, I saw that at Cabela's - and, they want almost $9 for shipping too. It came to over $36 for a 20 rd box. Impact Guns had it cheaper with a lot cheaper shipping, but I'm still backordered. I was going to Cor Box .380 +P, maybe that's harder to get than DPX?
