I guess I'm going to have to return my KSG for service. Bought it a while back and have not shot it. Last night a friend installed the stainless magazine followers for me, along with a muzzle brake and the extended tube selector. He loaded some rounds to make sure it would feed and eject and it will not eject. No matter how hard or fast you rack it. Had to remove the shells from the other end of the tubes. We compared mine to his and on mine there are two little metal tabs sticking down from the top of the tubes that are blocking the shells from being ejected. His doesn't have those or, if they are there, they don't protrude so far as to block ejection. I'm not talking about the two movable toothed parts but small metal tabs behind them. Looks like maybe they're just there to hold the tubes in place?

Anyway, if I return to Kel-Tec, will they give me any trouble over the non stock selector switch and tube followers? I don't see how either one could be causing the problem.

Thanks.

I can't answer your question regarding whether or not they'll give you any hassle or not....but why not put it back to stock before sending it in?

FWIW - I always make sure a firearm works as designed before making any mods that might void the warranty. That's why my KSG went straight from the box off to Kel-Tec. It had issues right away, and I just chose to let Kel-Tec deal with them. I'll add any extras AFTER I know it works right.

If you can't get it back to stock before shipping it off, you might consider reading through this forum for others who've had the same issue you're having. I know I saw a number of people had the same problem that mine had, and there were some pretty good threads on the fix. If you're not up to the task though, I'd send it in. Best of luck in whatever you decide.

I'd also recommend returning it to stock before doing anything else.

I'm sure your friend knows what he's doing and made the modifications properly, but returning it to stock and then doing another function test could be a big help in diagnosing problems.

Good luck.

If it was me, I'd never had mounted any accessories with-out test firing the weapon first. You're going to return a shotgun with-out even firing it yet? How do you know anything is really wrong with it....what if there's something more wrong and you don't know? And Kel Tec misses it??? Then you'll have to send it back again?

It's a known fact that the "trouble" you are having pretty much goes away after shooting it for a while....take it to the range and blast away. Then come back and tell us how it went.

I have just read several people state that the shotgun may have been taken apart and re-assembled wrong. You need to look into that.

The tube tabs are in backwards. Must have been done when installing the mag followers.
