I have noticed that my QD Sling Mount fits snugly into one of the open holes in the stock for the bolt retaining pin. I have my length of pull adjusted full out, so the last hole is completely unengaged with the operation of the bolt. Too bad Kel-Tec didn't try to add a small detent space to lock the QD in place. I'm now thinking about how to add such a small retaining groove inside the last hole for my QD Sling Clip. And wondering if the material will hold up to the weight of the unit.

Any threads out there discussing this?

Rather than add something (and there are many parts that fit that idea) I was thinking that since the QD fits snuggly into the existing hole, we need a way to add a groove into the I.D. to allow the QD detent balls to expand into. The question is whether the molded stock can support the rigors of a sling mount at this location without adding any material. If the groove could be added, it would still allow the hole to be used for the shortest length of pull position. Again, a small but cool item to be added for the Gen 3!

Ah gotcha - totally makes sense. I was only suggesting the previous piece was to help with the concerns around reinforcement / strength of the fitting.

hoon - and it is appreciated. We need to keep everyone abreast of what possibilities are available. It can be hard to find exactly what we think we need, especially when it comes to our toys!
