Can anyone point me to some instructions on replacing the trigger? My brother installed (and quickly removed) the poorly designed trigger shoe for the p3at, and it left his trigger with 2 small holes in it. I want to help him replace it.

    Thanks,

Yep it's to wide and actually often times comes off due to the torque involved when pulling the trigger.

The KT P3AT trigger has to be destroyed in order to replace it. FIRST, order a free warranty new trigger and pin from KT Service: 1-800-515-9983. Then buy some blue LocTite.

      Tools needed:

    1. Cutting pliers.
    2. Gripping pliers preferrably needle nosed.

At the bottom of the trigger is a pin. NOTE HOW FAR INTO THE TRIGGER IT IS, so you can replace it the same way. You can't get AT the pin because it is encased within the plastic trigger, so you must remove the frame:

Cut around the pin about 1/8" UP from its bottom, grip the pin with pliers and twist it out.

    Remove and replace trigger:

This is a PF9, but it's the same system (except you don't have to destroy the PF9 trigger:

Insert the new trigger, put a tiny dab of LockTite around the top of the pin. Push the pin in as far as it will go. Tap it a little to seat it, but not so hard that it will break out the top of the plastic trigger.

Put the frame back into the grip and you are good to go.

My new Wide Steel trigger, when available, will do what the shoe cannot.

Whoops! I left out some steps. I have added a link for the rest. For some reason the link is going past where it's supposed to, so back up 2 posts.
