The creation of this part is detailed in the PLR-16 forum. Newer versions have 3 more rail notches in length to the rear, as well as mounting holes for extensions on the end and top. This is coated with Robar's matte black Rogaurd(TM), which cost me $40 by itself. The coating has a couple very minor nicks at the end of the rails where the steel locking spring of the rail covers I put on it has to scrape past (as seen in closeup, 3rd pic). There is a ding visible on the left side of the round section of the part in the second picture, which was there before the coating, so it is black, despite it's lightened reflection in the photo. This is a precision 5 axis CNC milled part. There are some ridges in the underside of the rails from minor overcuts in the early machining ops, but these do not affect the useability of the rail. Also, for whatever it's worth, this is the first commercial part produced by my as yet unannounced and unformed gun accessory company, so when it's a big deal 5 years from now you can say "I got the first thing they ever made!" $80 or trade. I like green lasers, ridiculously powerful flashlights and uh,.. GUNS. Yeah. Open to trades for this plus additional similar parts as well for more valuable collateral..
