I would like to make the Sub 2000 Gen 2 a softer shooter for a family gun. It leaves a mark after a while for the wife and little ones. The only reason I don't immediately opt for the Recoil Pad from tacticool is that it prevents the bolt hold open.
I was hoping some of you may have had a good experience with a Recoil Pad, and if so which one? Otherwise I guess I will go with the Buffer Cylinder. I like the hold open feature, but am willing to give it up if I have to.
Thanks!

Thanks H2OMAN! I will pick one of these up. It seems to be the best option because every YouTube video I've seen with the Buffer Cylinder, even adding just one cylinder, prevented the bolt from holding open.

Did anyone have a different experience?

Thanks again!

I use just the buffer closest to the washer and I can close my bolt with no issue. Mine is a 9mm.

I have a sub 2000 gen2, and just put a combination recoil pad and cheek pad as well. I have to keep my stock fully extended to use my red dot raised sight, and it rubs my cheek against the plastic butt stock when I shoot. Bought the Keeper Brand slip on recoil pad on Amazon for $18. Fits my sub 2000 butt stock perfectly. Softened recoil and no more cheek burn.
