So, I picked up my black RDB today. Serial Z037X with a 1/7 twist barrel. The only marking on the barrel was 5.56 NATO.

I tested the trigger pull with a Timney Trigger Scale. I only dry-fired the gun twice before I measured the pull. The trigger is a two stage pull and the last stage is very crisp with no discernible creep. it's really a nice trigger.

What I found interesting was that the trigger pull started out at 6 3/4# and ended at 5 1/8# for the last of 13 pulls.

The pulls were: 6 3/4, 6 3/4, 6, 5 7/8, 6 1/8, 5 1/2, 5 1/2, 5 5/8, 5 1/4, 5 1/8, 5 1/4, 5 1/8, and last 5 1/8. The last 5 pulls were5 1/4 (2) and 5 1/8 (3). It appears that the trigger has settled in at about 5 1/8# to 5 1/4#.

After much firing I expect the trigger to be a good 5 pound, crisp one. Very nice.

Edit

I noticed one thing about the mag release lever. The lower end of the mag release lever is coated in a soft rubber for comfort in using the mag release.
