RDB in 300BLK?

Will the RDB ever be available in 300BLK.
It's design is better with the gas face issue and would probably sell like hotcakes.
I hope they will make some.
I've wanted to get something Kel-tec and a 300BLK BP would be my most wanted for sure.

I too would love to see a 300 BLK RDB, but it seems that Kel-Tec has turned their back on the 300 BLK. At one time there was talk of an SU-16 in 300 BLK, but recently it seems that whenever someone asks a Kel-Tec representative about 300 BLK at a trade show, there are downward glances, sideways glances, awkward pauses, mumbling, the nervous shuffling of feet....
People are getting real nervous about 300 BO since the rounds will chamber in, and blow up .223/5.56 guns. I am seeing those at least once a week. Yeah, stupidity, but there is still a legal risk that some manufacturers are not willing to take, especially ones that are selling everything they make faster than they can make it.

I don't know if that applies to KT one way or the other, but it does apply to some others.

Last I heard, they were tuning it to function well with subsonic ammo and suppressors. Still in the works, but they want them to run as shipped. The "Tactical" variant with the metal m-lok forend they showed at SHOT would be great in .300blk.

I mark my 300BLK mags with tape on them in big letters and numbers.
I haven't heard of anyone getting sued for people loading the wrong ammo.
The manufacturer isn't liable for that.
There would be someone trying to blame the AR-15 but it would go nowhere.
Amen, wanted to replace my pistol AR in 300 black out as I have a lot of subsonic and suppressor.
I am not a gunsmith, but would think all that is need is a barrel change.
KelTec seems to be missing the boat on this idea. Companies need to lesson to their customers is they want to change with the market place.
300blk is kinda an odd duck as subsonics will require the gasblock to be in a different location on the Rdb.I don't know how the 20 position tuneable gas system will play put with both subs and supers.

My only 300blk bullpup requires an entirely different recoil spring to work with subsonics.

All stuff George Kelgren probably knows and is leaving to the aftermarket.
I’d rather see one chambered in 7.62x39mm.
We gotta find someone in the aftermarket to make the upper for us,and then keep them in business

Yes. Pistol length gas port makes it easier to get the gas needed to function the AR. A too short barrel also affects the gas. A 16" barrel I suspect would make it a bit easier, but the 300BLK was designed for CQB, meaning short barrels, and I don't have a 16" barrel with pistol gas to work with. I think it's been discussed over on 300BLKtalk, but I didn't pay attention 'cause to me a 16" barrel for 300BLK in a traditional rifle just doesn't make sense. But as a bullpup it does.

The magic that makes the 300BLK what it is is the smallish case capacity that builds pressure fast by using fast powders. But that pressure also gets too low to be used if the gas port is waayyy out there on the barrel. The gas needs to be utilized before the pressure drops. So make the case bigger to hold more and slower powder to move the pressure out to the gas port and there goes the ability to use subsonics and cycle a semi-auto. That cartridge exists and it's called the 300 Hamr by Wilson. It only does supersonics. Nothing is ever free, there are always trade offs.

Agree 100%

Yea but they made that basically to hit harder than 300blk..and its still kinda spendy vs the 300blk per round (0.50cpr vs 1.16cpr - 150gr to 150gr brass cased.)
