The grip is not removable. The polymer grip is actually part of the polymer frame. So unfortunately, no.

It sounds like you have an RDB... so are you asking if a 1911-style Hogue rubber slip over would work?

I would also like some grip options - something a little wider to increase my length of pull.

Yeah, I know it's integral...I was thinking a slip-on or a wrap or something like that. I figure the grip should be close to an AR15 (don't know as this is my 11st rifle since leaving the Air Force 26 yrs ago so I don't really remember the feel)

See my post on a Talon grip wrap for the RDB. I measured both the RDB and the KSG grips and they appear to have the same dimensions. Talon has a grip wrap for the KSG that should fit. The only thing is there re two holes for the take-doen pis of the KSG. No big deal. I have ordered one of these grip wraps. I'll see if it fits and let everyone know. The grip comes in rubber (my choice) or a more aggressive sand texture. I have one on my KSG and other guns and I like how the grip is improved.

I received the Talon Grips #405 Rubber for the KSG today. It also comes in Sand for a more aggressive grip texture. I like the rubber and I have Talon Grips on several of my guns.

Overall, the grip fit pretty good. I felt that it needed just a little trimming. I cut about 1/16" from the front and rear edge of the side grip panels with a pair of scissors and I rounded the upper and lower corners of the cuts. Then I cleaned the grip surfaces of the RDB with 91% isopropyl alcohol (a very good degreaser). I wrapped the grip onto the RDB grip and positioned it the way I liked it. Then, according to the instructions, I heated the Talon Grip with a hair dryer to make it warm and pressed the grip wrap onto the RDB grip all over. I repeated this several times. It took about 10 minutes to complete.

Here are some photos of the installed Talon Grip Wrap.

Also hopeful to hear someone has tried and found a good Hogue grip. They can be tough to make fit originally, but should be not too hard if you 1- boil it for a minute and 2- stretch it out with your fingers before you try to apply it to the handle

I actually used a replacement skateboard deck to make my own for my XD pistol. $10 gets you enough grippy scratchy material for several guns.

Might actually be a good upgrade for my RDB-C seeing as the grip, though better than expected, is still not ideal.

Do you guys prefer the rubber style grips for your RDB or something less soft?

I use the Hogue Hand-All #17000 for most of my Kel-Tec grip upgrades. It works fairly well for the SUB-2000 but is a little large at the top of the back strap on the PMR-30, CMR-30 and CP33 but is (IMO) considerably better than not having a rubbery grip and the loose material at the top rear contracts in a day or two. I haven't tried the Hogue #17000 on the RDB and RFB yet, but I should. I think it should fit fairly well, given the size of these grips and the grip angle. There's a Pachmayr rubber grip sleeve that other people like for their Kel-Tec firearms.
