Hello! Like you, I have been eagerly awaiting a brass catcher attachment for the RDB. While it seems we'll be waiting a while longer, I came up with a solution for the meantime. A couple weeks ago I bought some jersey cotton pillowcases from Target, and they came in a little drawstring satchel made from the same material. Check it out:

Just stretchy enough to grip in place. That bag ain't going nowhere. To empty, just slip the back end off the buttstock. If you wanted, you could probably leave it tied up and just stuff most of it up the pistol grip when not needed.

If there's interest, I'll update after testing during my next range visit.

Great. I have an excuse to buy new pillow cases.
How will I explain why they are black?
They are for extra tactical sleep, a necessity for the modern warrior.

Just kidding, I have no idea. Black pillowcases end up looking gross and terrible. Maybe find an unexpected handy use for those, too? Shine your bowling balls in 'em!

I was thinking something along the lines of a plastic clamshell that had grooves to mate with the ribs on the magwell sides. A large o-ring residing in an outside groove would hold the assembly on the gun. Affix a pouch of heat proof/resistant material to the bottom and voila. I haven't seen any flat spring dump options outside of robbing one off of a coinpurse.

Hi, new to Ktog, I convert a brass catcher a little over a year ago and thought you might be interested in it. It's not quite finished but when I got to the point it is now I decided to just shoot the RDB and finish it later(maybe).

Been to the range several times and works well, what do you think?
