I finally got my hands on an rdb-c. Was super excited and finally was able to get to the local range and shoot. Sighted in and ran 60 rounds through it. Next day I took it down to clean it and found this:

Sure hope Keltec covers this because I find it absolutely absurd that a new gun would have something this bad before a 100 rounds.

It sucks, but Kel Tec will fix it. Call them and let them know and they'll get you a return label.

I was going to say I cannot find anywhere on the internet where this has happened. To me it looks like a weak link in the design but it seems I’m the only one to have it happen.

Looks like poor heat treating to me.

That both ears failed tells me either the material was not correct or the rifle was severely overgassed. should not have happened even overgassed.
This is the serialized part of the receiver, right?
