Has anyone used RBCD ammo before? Do they work well with the 3AT? I was at my LGS today and the guy was trying to sell me on this ammo. Its a little expensive but they have it in .380. Sounds great for home defense but have never heard of it before. Is it like Magsafe?
Thanks for any help.

Questionable performance, particularly in a .32ACP

Hi,

I'd be careful about using RBCD ammo in your P3AT, check the following KTOG link:

http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1114533524

The ammo is advertised as shooting a 45 gr. bullet 1835 feet per second for 337 foot pounds energy.  The P3AT is only rated by Kel-Tec to handle loads to 250 foot pounds energy in the manual.  The RBCD ammo will at the very least be hard on your pistol, and possibly dangerous if it decides to let go in an unsupported area of the cartridge chamber.  I hope the info is useful.

Best Regards:
