I have my Sub2k for sale on armslist and someone from out of state is interested. Do I have to use a ffl dealer to ship to his ffl dealer or can I just ship it myself? It appears that I can just ship it without a ffl but want to be certain while talking to the guy about the transaction.

Thanks

You ship (mail) to his chosen FFL dealer... his dealer must be willing to accept a gun from an individual, if he is not willing (some aren't) then you need to have your local FFL dealer ship to his FFL dealer.

Great advice given. Definitely double check always the receiving dealer is an active in good standing license holder. That last thing you want to do is wind up on the ATF radar.

Good luck with your sale.

I'd call the FFL to let them know it's coming. To be sure the buyer notified them they were doing a transfer.

Some FFL's freak out at the idea of receiving out of state transfers from non-licensed individuals, despite it being perfectly legal, and how it's supposed to work. They'll only receive from other FFL's.
