I'm not sure on the number of guns that are having ftfd, but they can be fixed. My gun definitely had a high spot on the barrel block where it mates against the feedramp. I could see it with the slide about half open and feel it by gently moving a small screw driver up the ramp and having it catch on the barrel block edge. I took out the block and filed the edge down so it was even with the ramp when installed. At the same time I found the magazine followers were also sticking and causing feed issues. I took the mags apart and could see the rough areas with a light shined up the inside. I cleaned them carefully with sandpaper until the followers would fall up and down by gravity only and then reassembled them. I also ground the small square piece on the barrel entrance at about a 45° angle and polished it and chamfered the opening of the chamber with polish. The gun runs fine now and I'm sure all of the feed problems were were caused by a combination of these issues. It can be frustrating to troubleshoot, but if you check for some of these problems I found, it should be easier to narrow it down. My gun will fire spear gold dot, hornady, and even the cci with the ridges..good luck! These guns are incredibly fun to shoot and worth every dollar.
