I'm up for the challenge, how do you peg a 30 round mag to only hold 10?
Get a dowel rod. Take the mag apart. Put it under the follower, cut at an appropriate length. go ahead and stack it on the diagonal (maybe use 2 of them criss crossed for sturdiness) so it can't move too much. Maybe glue in place?

You could also try to put a peg thru it to block the follower but it can't stick out from the mag body, so that will be a bit more annoying to do. Its doable though .. you can hammer both sides of a cut off nail to expand it just a bit so it won't slip out and grind it flat.

You could also beat the magazine inward, denting it in a controlled fashion. Create a couple of in-facing dimples that block the follower.

However you try it, measure carefully as 22 is small and getting exactly 10 instead of 9 or 11 might be tricky if you are not precise.

My thoughts too. If it was a typical mag I'd say glue a tongue to the bottom of the mag follower. But alas, this is a unique mag....

Mag limits suck! You might try this link:

I'd get some of these, at least for public appearances. If I were in your shoes, I don't know what I would do with the standard capacity ones. For me, getting rid of them or altering them permanently would be out of the question, since this crap may go national (again) if Hillarrhoid gets elected. If this happens, it's likely that the mags would be grandfathered in under the national law. Top priority is to get them to a legal safe harbor (out of state) so that you can retrieve them once you're able to get the heck out of NY. Maybe leave them with a trusted friend or relative? Maybe in a safe deposit box, or self-storage unit in New Hampshire? When you transport them to the safe harbor, don't give the cops any reason to notice you. Make sure your tags and inspection stickers are current, and all your taillights and brake lights are working properly.

If legal options aren't practical, I can't tell you what I would do.;)

Incidentally, I bought several mags for my PMR-30 before I actually found a gun I could buy, just in case a mag limit went into effect before I could get one. This was during that period a few years ago when it seemed like there was a new mass shooting every time you turned on the TV.

I tried magblock limiters without success. I ended up doing this to make 15 round mags legal in NJ. Of course you could make the plug longer to reduce it to 10.

There is too much flexing in the magazine to use the magblock reliability.

It’s ¾” abs rod. Total length was 65.0 mm with the pin. The clevis pin was pressed in. The follower spring was cut in half. Bottom of the follower filled with JB weld. The follower spring plate had to be modified The floorplate was glued using Loctite plastic bonder the material had to be hit with 220 grit and a IPA wash rinse before applying the Loctite.

What sad state of affairs. Not matter what solution you come to you better triple check it is actually in full compliance. Those [email protected][email protected])dsl don't play when it comes to having all the Ts crossed and the I s dotted.

Your right. That is why I did it myself. I like my freedom.

15 is all it will hold and the polyester plastic is bonded. You would have to destroy the mag to get the floorplate off.
