Please test and let me know if it works OK for you.
Over the next three years, I plan to transition to the new name.
I paid up the name for the next three years so it'll continue
to work for that long, but it's technically owned by someone no one
has seen for a few years, so it's possible that three years from now
we couldn't use For that reason, I bought the new name, . I'm also using it to test a system for managing names,
so if some people could try it and make sure it works for them
    that would be great.

My plan is to do a gradual transition. I'll get several people to test it
to make sure it works for different browsers, different types of computers,
etc. for a few days. Then for a month or two I'll add a message at the top
of the page saying our new name is , so please change your
bookmarks, etc. Then after a month or two of that I'll make it so that
when you go to it'll automatically send you to instead.

    Thanks Ray ;)

The link took me to the main page.
I was able to log into the bulletin board(for keeps)
I closed the page and went back the same way.
I had to log in again to post this but. it's posted from the link.

Works fine, I assume no cookies yet.

Edit to add..Windows XP Media ;)

I just logged into using Mozilla firefox on a Dell XPS 410 running Windows XP pro.  Went to the forums (Bulletin Board) page, still showing in the address bar.

When I logged into this forum the address bar switched to and I'm typing this reply.  Seems to be working OK for me.

The forum itself works fine, but buttons like "Home", "Search", "Login" and link "Check Messages" point to

    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090327 Fedora/3.1-0.11.beta3.fc11 Firefox/3.1b3

Thanks so much to all who replied. Many of us have our passwords saved
in our browser and don't remember them in our heads. If that applies to you,
you have a little work to do. The browser remembers the password for,
but when we switch to the browser won't know that it's the same
password, so you'll have to type your password the first time. That's tough
if you don't know what it is. So you need to set your password to something
you'll remember. To do that, click "Profile" about 3 1/2 inches from the top
of the page. Then click "Modify". There, enter a password which you'll remember.
You have to type the same password twice so it knows you didn't typo.

    Works fine.

    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv: Gecko/2009031421 PCLinuxOS/ (2007) Firefox/

Thought I'd get clever and type "the" in front of in the URL for this thread.

It worked, but it thought I had already voted and showed me the results.
